In our daily lives, we unconsciously navigate and negotiate status through non-verbal communication. Simple actions like lowering our voice or straightening our posture can convey a higher status to others. However, when interacting with 'smart' devices in modern life, this fluid exchange of status often becomes impossible due to the static nature of the technology. This project investigates how power dynamics between humans and machines can be made more dynamic. By creating interactive prototypes that unpredictably - in dynamic vocal sounds - respond to specific bodily gestures, the artist seeks to evoke a nuanced relationship between the 'user' and the 'device.'
